Generali Pilipinas’ (GP) BancAssurance Channel keeps its outstanding performance in 2009, accounting for a record-breaking P422 Million in Individual Life premiums for the first quarter or 92% of the company’s total 1st quarter Individual Life premiums.

“This remarkable performance was brought about by BancAssurance’s effective implementation of its strategies, resulting to an increase in market share and growth. In fact, from 168 Financial Advisors (FAs) in September 2008, it is now 250 FAs in just 6 months. Equally responsible for the excellent performance is the support of its joint-venture partner and the country’s largest bank, BDO,” shared BancAssurance Channel Head Melvin J. Esteban.

Aimed to sustain BancAssurance’s growth this quarter are the Chairman’s Cup, BDO 2nd Quarter Achievers and BDO 168 Cup. The Chairman’s Cup and the BDO 2nd Quarter Achievers are annual sales incentives to help drive business activity and productivity of GP’s sales force, while BDO 168 Cup is a special recognition program for the BDO branches as an appreciation for the outstanding support in bringing business to GP. “In Chinese, the numbers 168 means road to becoming rich and successful. And I am sure BDO 168 will bring luck and success to everyone,” said Derek Chan, GP’s President and CEO.
