Generali Pilipinas 1st quarter premiums rise 59%
Its Broker’s and Corporate Clients Channel soared 34% at P205 Million from P153 Million last year. Its Development Underwriting premiums reached P160 Million, an increase of 626% from last year, as conditions remained favorable in the first quarter.
Business from its BancAssurance Channel also recorded a 35% increase in premium income, with its Life Production at P372 Million and its Property & Casualty Production at P47 Million.
Riding this upward trend is GP’s Agency Channel with a 41% increase in combined premiums or P81 million for this year, compared to P57 million of the same period in 2007. Such growth in its Agency Channel was brought about by the good performance of its Exclusive Agency having achieved a 33% growth or P52.45 Million and its Independent Agency at P28.70 Million or 60% increase for the first quarter.
