Teresita Sy-Coson
Chairperson
Ms. Teresita T. Sy-Coson has extensive experience in
banking, retail merchandising and mall development.
A graduate of AB-BSC in Management from Assumption College,
she is presently the President of Shoemart, Inc. She
is also a Director of SM Investments Corporation, Multi-Realty
Development Corporation, First Asia Realty Development,
and SM Prime Holdings.

Roberto Gasso
Member
Mr. Gasso got his University Degree in Business and Administration at the "Università degli Studi di Trieste" - Italy in 1987.
He started working for Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. Head Office in 1988 as an Underwriter for the Aviation Department and subsequently as a Treaty Underwriter for the Inwards Reinsurance Department.
From 1994 to 2005, he was seconded to the Hong Kong Branch of the Company as Deputy Chief Executive of Life and General Divisions, and in January 2003, he was also appointed Area Manager for Thailand.
In July 2005, he came back to Assicurazioni Generali Head Office in Trieste as the Area Manager in charge of Generali Group Operations in Asia and Greece. He is a Board member of Generali’s subsidiaries in Greece (Generali Hellas and Generali Life), India (Future Generali India Ins. Co. and Future Generali India Life Ins. Co.) and the Philippines.

Renato A. Vergel De Dios
President and CEO
Mr. Vergel De Dios has over 35 years of experience in life insurance management. He directed the overall marketing operations of the Philippine American Life Insurance Company as an Executive Vice President before moving on to Manulife Philippines as President and Chief Executive Officer for over 10 years. He earned his BS Mathematics degree from Ateneo de Manila University and his MS Management degree in Stanford University. Mr. Vergel De Dios was also an Associate (ASA) for the US Society of Actuaries and a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific (IIAP).

Madam Tam Chiew Lin
Member
Madam Tam Chiew Lin is a Fellow of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member
of the Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants
and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She attained
her Diploma in Applied International Management from
the Swedish Institute of Management and Postgraduate
Certificate in Banking and Finance from the University
of Bangor, Wales. She is presently the Executive Director
of Jerneh Asia Berhad, a public listed company in Malaysia.

Nestor V. Tan
Treasurer
Mr. Nestor V. Tan holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Commerce from De La Salle University. He acquired his
MBA at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Tan was formerly connected with Bankers Trust Company
in New York as Vice President and the Barclays Group
in New York and London where he served as Planning Director
and Head of Strategic Planning for Corporate and Institutional
Services Group. Thereafter, he became the Chief Operating
Officer for Financial Institution Services Group of
BZW, the investment-banking subsidiary of the Barclays
Group, before joining BDO as Executive Vice President
in 1997. He became President of the Bank in July 1998.
